A brief summary of each release of Call of Duty PlayStation games (2004 – 2021)

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game franchise that has been around since 2003. It was originally released on PC, but eventually made its way to consoles, including PlayStation. Since then, there have been many Call of Duty games released on PlayStation consoles.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour was the first game in the series to be released on PlayStation 2 in 2004. It was set during World War II and focused on the Eastern Front.

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One was released in 2005 on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. It followed the story of an American infantry division and its battles in World War II.

Call of Duty 3 was released in 2006 on PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, and Xbox 360. It was set in Europe during the later stages of World War II and featured both single-player and multiplayer modes.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was a major departure from the World War II setting, and instead focused on modern warfare. It was released in 2007 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It was a critical and commercial success, and is still considered one of the best Call of Duty games ever made.

Call of Duty: World at War was released in 2008 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It returned to the World War II setting, but this time included both the Pacific and European theaters of war.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released in 2009 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It was a direct sequel to the first Modern Warfare game, and featured a controversial mission that involved a terrorist attack on an airport.

Call of Duty: Black Ops was released in 2010 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It was set during the Cold War and featured both single-player and multiplayer modes.

Overall, the Call of Duty franchise has been incredibly successful on PlayStation consoles, with many of the games becoming top sellers on the platform. Each game has brought something new to the table, whether it be a new setting, new gameplay mechanics, or new modes. The franchise continues to evolve and grow, and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for this beloved series
